Behind the Scent

Though I most often favor sweet, citrusy refreshments, Nate has always been inclined toward those of a sharper nature, bitter or sour. We rarely dine out, but on the occasions we do, Nate faithfully orders a ginger ale. To my amusement, I have found myself doing the same, as though his taste had quietly become my own.
It was on a journey abroad that Nate first came upon ginger ale. We were weary from our long journey when we first reached our bungalow, yet eager to sit by the shore. From the little icebox Nate grabbed a bottle of ginger ale. Though I feared it too sweet, it proved just right, spiced with ginger and touched with bitterness.
From that moment, ginger ale became his steady companion. Yet in time, the ordinary glass seemed too simple, and Nate’s curiosity led him to seek more adventurous mixtures. One evening among friends, he ordered a Moscow mule, discovering to his delight that mint and ginger were not only agreeable companions but perfect ones.

Candle Care
  • Trim the wick to 1/4", before lighting and place on level surfaces.
  • Keep away from drafts & flammable objects.
  • Make sure the candle pools entirely before snuffing it out.
  • Keep your candles within view and out of reach of children and pets.
  • When burning, be sure there is at least 1/4" of wax left in the bottom of your jar to avoid shattering.
  • Keep your candle lit no longer than 3 to 4 hours at a time.
  • Don't blow out the candle. Use a snuffer instead.
