Morning Mist

It was in the year of 2018 that Nate and I embarked upon a journey to Singapore, drawn by two great delights, one of thrills and frights at Universal Studios' Horror Nights, and the other of art and sentiment, for "A Star Is Born" had just graced the theaters. But beyond these grand amusements, there was yet another joy awaiting us.
One early morning, we rose with the sun and set forth on a walk through a quiet forest near Sentosa Island. A soft mist had settled over the bay, veiling the world in a hushed stillness, cool and pure. There was something enchanting about the scene, as though we had stepped into the film of a beloved novel, for I could not help but recall that tender moment in "Pride and Prejudice", when Mr. Darcy emerged from the mist, his heart laid bare before Elizabeth Bennet.
Years later, as we toiled over new scents for our spring collection, the memory returned with striking clarity. That morning in Singapore had left its mark upon us, and we knew we must capture it somehow. Though Singapore lay far from the English countryside, where Darcy made his fateful walk, the essence of that moment transcended place and time. As we poured our memory into the candle, naming it "Morning Mist", I still like to call it, “The Mr. Darcy”.
